Phillip Longman is the author of numerous books and articles on public policy in realms ranging from demographics to health care and competition policy. He is currently aPolicy Director with New America’s Open Markets program, a Senior Editor at the Washington Monthly and a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife, Sandy, and son, Samuel.
